Risperdal Lawsuits
Risperdal is a big seller for Johnson & Johnson, with global sales of $2.1 billion per year. It has been used by more than 10 million people. But not all of them were being treated for schizophrenia, the only condition for which Risperdal has Food and Drug Administration approval.
At least 700 Risperdal lawsuits have been filed by people who suffered side effects from using the drug.
If a person taking Risperdal has come down with diabetes, pancreatitis or hyperglycemia, or if a loved one has died from a heart attack resulting from the use of Risperdal, retaining a lawyer and filing a Risperdal lawsuit makes sense.
700-plus Risperdal lawsuits
At least 700 patients have filed Risperdal lawsuits because of side effects they suffered from using the drug. Furthermore, several state attorneys general have filed lawsuits against Janssen, alleging that the company marketed Risperdal for off-label purposes, which is against the law.
